The M&A market in Latin America registered a total of 294 mergers and acquisitions in September 2021, between announced and closed  for an aggregate value of US$12,190 million.

In 2021 there were a total of 2,817 mergers and acquisitions, between announced and closed, for an aggregate amount of USD 126,181m, representing a 39.52% increase in the number of transactions and a 129.62% increase in their value, in comparison to October 2020.

In number of operations, Brazil leads the ranking of the most active countries in the region with 1,981 operations. In second place in the ranking is Mexico, with 308 operations and a 43% growth in their amount compared to October 2020.
