Dealmakers Dialogues Zurich: Swiss M&A challenges and opportunities in 2024

Andy provides mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory services to entrepreneurs, corporates and private equity funds in Switzerland and throughout Europe.

He acts as a Director in Lincoln International’s European Healthcare group with particular emphasis on the Healthcare Services and MedTech subsectors and also covers the broader Micromobilty space. Over the last 10 years, he successfully advised on more than 30 transactions in those respective fields.

Prior to joining Lincoln in 2020, Andy worked as a Vice President at William Blair in London and was part of their European Healthcare team.

He earned a Master of Science from the London School of Business and Finance and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Gallen University.

Marius Buxkämper is Investment Director at Ufenau Capital Partners. He has 10 years of experience in private equity and a further 4 years in leveraged finance. Marius Buxkämper supports the investments on an operational level as well as the investment team in the execution of transactions.

Before joining Ufenau Capital Partners, Marius Buxkämper was part of the investment team at ECM Equity Capital Management in Frankfurt am Main, where he was responsible for investments in the D/A/CH region. Prior to that, he worked for Deutsche Bank AG and GE Capital, where he advised Mid-sized companies and private equity funds on (acquisition) financing.

Vincent Thiebaud is Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking Switzerland and joined Bank of America in Zurich in 2021. Prior to his current role, Vincent was responsible for the Rothschild & Co advisory business in Switzerland and also worked at J.P. Morgan and Credit Suisse. Vincent has over 20 years of experience in Investment Banking with extensive involvement in crossborder, defense and public M&A as well as capital markets transactions.

Merlin Piscitelli is Chief Revenue Officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Datasite.

In his role, Merlin is responsible for setting and managing the sales strategy and its deployment across this diverse and complex region, including coordinating and managing teams and sales representatives across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He is based in London.

Merlin has been driving the M&A digital transformation in EMEA since joining Datasite in 2006. He has served in several leadership roles within the organization, including Head of Sales, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Director of Sales, helping drive technological innovation and deal velocity across the region.

Prior to joining Datasite, Merlin served as a sales and business development professional for Infotrieve, now part of Copyright Clearance Center, a global licensing technology content solutions business and document delivery provider. 

Merlin holds a BS in Business/Marketing from Florida State University.
